About Veter Atelier

Hi, I'm Lisa — a one-woman team and maker behind Veter Atelier!

I've always attached meaning to the jewellery I wear. But for years, I struggled to find jewellery that gave me that special feeling so I wanted to make my own

I was in my final year of PhD and losing my mind a little when I discovered silver clay. I tried it, and it did wonders for my mental heath and staying sane as I was finishing my degree!

I found it so meditative to make something with my own hands! It was just a hobby for a while but I was so in love with the process that I wanted it to be more...

HOW DID VETER ATELIER BEGIN?

For my 27th birthday, I was gifted my first pack of silver clay along with a firing torch, a set of mandrels and ring sizers and a firing surface. That was enough to fuel my addiction!

It sounded impossible for it to work but I tried it anyway. And to my surprise, it worked! I was shocked that I could just make something silver just like that. In my own kitchen. So I kept making, attempting a more ambitious design every time, and learning

When I felt more confident, I designed my first collection and started selling my pieces. I earned enough to buy more silver clay and even a kiln!

WHAT DROVE ME TO TEACH

When I first discovered silver clay, I almost wrote it off because every tutorial I found made jewellery that just wasn't my style

But I was determined to figure it out. After lots of experimenting, I manage to create pieces I really loved and people started telling me my pieces didn't even look like silver clay!

I slowly started sharing my process online. A few videos gained traction, and people were asking lots of questions and asking me to make tutorials and courses. So I learned everything I could about making courses, spent weeks preparing them and had my first launch.

I wanted to create something for the people who, like me, almost gave up on silver clay because nothing they found matched their style. I ended up following my heart and going full-time on this!

Veter Atelier was born out of pure passion, but it became so much more than I expected. It changed the direction of my life, pulled me toward creativity and something that actually feels like mine.

I am so incredibly grateful for the community, students' trust in me, and being able to do what I love

I'm still building it, still growing, but for the first time I feel like I'm moving toward the life I actually want. Who knew a hobby can do that!
